Tuku to perform in the UK next month
Yes, it’s confirmed he will surely be there!
Oliver Mtukudzi, widely-voiced as "TUKU", and regarded as one of the giants of African Pop and considered the biggest selling artist in his home country of Zimbabwe performs live in the UK. With an undeniable contagious style that fuses traditional drumming with South African mbaqanga, the Zimbabwean pop style JIT.Tuku will feature full band live shows with his transcendent group, The
Black Spirits.
Tuku will be touring the UK alongside South African kwaito and R’n’B sensation Ishmael Morabe aka E’Smile. Ishmael is an award winning artist and is popularly known for his thumping club tune Roba Letheka and the R’n’B song Let me. Isamael is a young and talented artist. Be it rap, kwaito or smooth R’n’B, Ishmael is the man. He was part of the Hip-Hop band Prophets of Da City and Kwaito outfit Skeem.
Tuku’s first show will be at the Sanctuary Nite club in Birmingham on August 06 and his last show is will be in Milton Keynes on August 14. The show is being promoted by ZimTownship, who have in the past promoted fellow Zimbabwean musician Alick Macheso and the Orchestra Mberikwazvo.
