Tuku performs at Kaya FM’s birthday concert
On August 21, 2005, Oliver Mtukudzi and the Black Spirits performed at the Kaya FM 95.9 birthday concert held in New Town Park in Johannesburg.

Kaya FM is a regional radio station in Johannesburg, South Africa that prides it’self with playing African music. The station which is “The Heart and Soul of Jozi” prides it’self as being the first to introduce Oliver Mtukudzi to South African listeners recently moved to their new studios at No. 1 Central Place in Newton. The new studios are a stone's throw from the historic and popular Market Theatre.
Before the move, Kaya FM had been broadcasting from Rosebank over the past 7 years.
Some of the artists that performed during the concert included Thandiswa Mazwai, Selaelo Selota, Peter Nthwane, Jabu Khanyile, Mahotella Queens and Sylvester Mazinyane amongst others.

Also making his presence felt, but this time on stage was DJ George Munetsi. Munetsi is the station’s host for the afternoon show, “Georgie in the Afternoon”.  A Zimbabwean greatly inspired by Tuku Music, the DJ is featured on the song Black Soldier by UJU. The song Black soldier is a tribute to late African political heroes.
