Oliver Mtukudzi appeals for support in completing Pakare Paye Art Centre
Zimbabwe's popular musician Oliver 'Tuku' Mtukudzi has told Tukumusic.com that construction at Pakare Paye Art Centre (PPAC) in Norton is at an advanced stage but was moving slowly due to the lack of various materials and the escalating costs of construction.
PPAC is a community facility being built by Mtukudzi and is meant to assist Zimbabweans in developing their various artistic skills. Tuku said, "We are moving slowly but we are still looking for help. We are struggling to finish it". The musician said he was appealing to people who can assist in cash and kind in assisting him in making sure that PPAC is completed before the scheduled mini-festival in May.
Assistance is required in areas which include roofing, painting, electrical cables and paving the driveway. (listen to Mtukudzi speaking about progress at PPAC)
