Tuku speaks to BBC's Network Africa Oliver Mtukudzi's talent is so refined and so distinctive that he even has his own musical genre - 'Tuku' music. The guitar great from Zimbabwe graced the Network Africa office recently, and bowled us over with the soul-filled music that he has at his fingertips. Famously reluctant to live outside of Zimbabwe, he was visiting London at the start of a three date UK tour. Mtukudzi sings in English and in Shona; he doesn't shy from difficult subjects and his songs often cover social and economic issues that affect the daily lives of Zimbabweans. It is not a preachy style, his lyrics embrace humour and optimism, garnering enthusiastic plaudits from wide and diverse audiences.
